TERMS v1.0 — EFFECTIVE AUGUST 8, 2026

THE FINE PRINT

Terms & Conditions

Plain-English summaries in amber. The numbered text below each is the working contractual language for legal review.

1. What this is

SLOP DUELS is a studio and a game: you fill in ad-lib templates, our machines render them into short films, and the crowd votes. Every video here is AI-generated, on purpose, and labeled as such.

1.1. SLOP DUELS (“the Service”) provides AI-assisted video generation from user-selected template inputs (“Fills”), community contests (“Tournaments”), and hosting of the resulting videos. All generated media on the Service is produced by artificial intelligence models and is labeled as AI-generated. You must not remove, obscure, or contradict AI-generated labeling when sharing Service content.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You need an account to render. You must be old enough to buy credits where you live. One account per human.

2.1. Purchasing credits requires an account and a minimum age of 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Browsing and voting require a minimum age of 13.

2.2. One account per person. Accounts operated by bots, or multiple accounts used to influence votes or tallies, will be closed and forfeits any credits.

3. Credits

Credits buy renders. They are not contest entry fees, not gambling stakes, and not money. You keep the videos your credits produce.

3.1. Credits are prepaid units redeemable solely for video/image generation services. Credits are not required to enter, vote in, or win any Tournament; Tournament participation is a free consequence of having rendered an eligible video.

3.2. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by law and as provided in 3.3.

3.3. If the house editor declines to render a submission (Section 6), the credits for that render are returned in full.

4. Your content, your videos

Your fills and dialogue are yours. The videos you render are yours to keep and post anywhere. We keep a copy and the right to feature it — that's how the show works.

4.1. You retain all rights you hold in the Fills, dialogue, and other inputs you submit.

4.2. Subject to the model terms in Section 5, ownership of rendered output vests in you.

4.3. You grant SLOP DUELS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote rendered videos and their derivatives (matchup edits, compilations, trailers) on the Service and on external platforms, with attribution to your account name.

4.4. You represent that your inputs do not infringe third-party rights, including trademark, copyright, and rights of publicity. Do not submit real people's names or likenesses. Copyright and IP complaints: email [email protected] with the work, the URL, and your contact information; infringing content is removed promptly upon valid notice.

5. The machines have terms too

Our videos are rendered by third-party AI models. Their rules flow through to you — including Black Forest Labs' terms when a Flux model renders your entry.

5.1. Generation is performed by third-party models under their respective terms, which are incorporated by reference into these Terms as applicable to your renders. In particular, where a Black Forest Labs Flux model is used, you agree to be bound by the then-current Flux Terms of Service.

5.2. Provider acceptable-use rules (including prohibitions on illegal content, non-consensual sexual content, child sexual abuse material, and passing off AI output as human-created) apply to all renders and are enforced at render time.

6. The house editor

A human and an automated reviewer read every fill and every line of dialogue before render. If your entry is declined, you get your credits back. Keep it weird, keep it kind.

6.1. All submissions are reviewed before rendering. SLOP DUELS may decline any submission at its discretion, including for: sexual content; gore or realistic violence; content targeting real, identifiable persons; hate or harassment; content violating Section 5 provider rules; or content that in the editor's judgment damages the Service.

6.2. Declined renders are refunded per 3.3. Repeated attempts to evade review may result in account closure.

7. Characters

Characters are built here, on-site, or cast from our roster. No uploading faces, no importing characters from elsewhere. What you build here has clean provenance — which is what makes everything else possible.

7.1. Characters may only be created through the Service's character tools or cast from the SLOP DUELS roster. Uploading or importing external images, likenesses, or third-party characters is prohibited.

7.2. You retain ownership of characters you create, subject to a license to SLOP DUELS equivalent to 4.3. Character voices are synthetic, designed voices; cloning of any real person's voice is prohibited.

7.3. Character licensing to other users (casting fees, revenue sharing) is governed by a separate Creator Agreement when that program launches.

8. Tournaments

Seeding is set by external platform engagement. Winning is decided by votes on this site. Prizes are distribution, not cash: winners get the full-quality render, promotion on house channels, and roster placement.

8.1. Tournaments are skill-based competitions judged by community vote on the Service. External platform metrics (e.g., TikTok likes) are used only to order first-round seeding and never to decide advancement or winners.

8.2. No purchase is necessary to vote. Vote manipulation (bots, purchased engagement, coordinated inauthentic activity) disqualifies the affected entry.

8.3. Current prizes are non-monetary: full-quality re-render, placement on SLOP DUELS channels and the house roster, and site featuring. Any future monetary or revenue-share awards will be governed by a separate written agreement.

9. The boring-but-important parts

We can change these terms with notice. The Service is provided as-is. Some models are previews and can change or vanish. Liability is capped.

9.1. SLOP DUELS may amend these Terms with reasonable notice; continued use constitutes acceptance.

9.2. The Service is provided “as is.” Generation quality varies; underlying models, including early-access models, may change or be withdrawn without notice.

9.3. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SLOP DUELS’ total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $50 or the amount you paid the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
